It's unavoidable that small children catch all kinds of minor infections. For a speedy recovery and to prevent the other children from falling ill, children who are unwell must stay at home. Only when the fever has subsided for a whole day should you return your child to the nursery.
Clothing should be comfortable and practical: whilst we make every effort to protect the children’s clothing during messy activities, they do get dirty, so it is better not to send your child in their ‘Sunday best’! We would also ask you to supply a change of clothes, ‘just in case’. The children enjoy spending time outside in most weathers, so a coat is needed for cooler weather and sun cream and hats are required in summer. Please ensure that all clothing is marked with your child’s full name. We ask that when we change your child into Nursery clothes that you please return them to the Nursery.
We do ask that all parents ensure that if there are any changes to any details such as phone numbers, addresses, medical details etc that the nursery are informed in advance or as soon as possible in case of any emergency.
The nursery is legally required to comply with national regulations and obligations. If in the event of suspected incidents of any form of child abuse or/and neglect the Children’s and Social Care Department will be contacted and the child protection procedures followed.
We do hold events throughout the year where we welcome parents and families to join in the fun but we do ask that any photos taken by parents and families during these events that contain children other than their own are used only for personal use and are not published on public media sites.
